If you are using the TurboTax desktop and it will not let you enter a field in the W-2 section, as in the original post, please delete this W-2 and try again. If you imported it directly from your employer, it might have been damaged in the transfer. Trying again, or typing in manually should solve the problem.
To delete the incorrect W-2:
- Click on the Federal Taxes tab,
- Click on Wages and Salaries and Show More
- Then Update
- Click the trashcan icon next to Review.
- Select Yes to confirm.
- Then click the blue button to Add Another W-2
