Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Thanks, Daniel. I would appreciate an opinion on this question preferably from someone who is familiar, specifically, with KY state tax filings.
I may be filing in KY for the first time as a part year non-resident. The only reason this may be required is I now have a KY driver's license and vote there although I've never lived there but live full-time in Greece and have for the last 16 years. I was previously a FL resident. Nor have I ever had any income from KY sources. The reason for KY is that one needs a driver’s license from somewhere and a state in which to vote. My sister lives in KY. A query to the KY tax office seems to indicate that by virtue of having a driver’s license issued there, I need to file.
So my question is “do I really need to file in KY?” Thank you very much.
