There are several kinds of pins. I think you mean a federal identity protection pin, the 2nd option.

• If you mean the filing pin from last year, you can use your AGI instead. How do I find last year’s AGI?
• If you mean the IP PIN for identity protection, you lost or never got your CP01A letter, retrieve your IP PIN online at the IRS's Get an IP PIN website.

• If you mean the IL PIN: 

If you live in IL, you MUST get an IL PIN from the state department.
