I am running MacOS 12.1 on apple M1 2020 macbook air. Turbo Tax 2021 home and business installed yesterday with an error message which I ignored. I imported a TurboTax 2020 file and saved my TurboTax 2021 afterwards. Today, I opened the 2021 file and was prompted to report yesterday's stack trace error to TurboTax. I clicked OK and TurboTax crashed. It crashed upon relaunch. I deleted, rebooted and reinstalled from on-line and CD on multiple occasions since and it still crashes shortly after 'Please wait while we check for updates' message appears. After 3 hours with TurboTax tier 2 tech support, it was suggested I contact Apple since Intel 64-chip chips may be required. If this is the official position, do not plan on using Turbo Tax Home & Business if you own an M1 MacBook.
