There was an auto fill line in the return (Nothing I entered.), that created an AMT credit. It was carried forward for years. I believe the IRS found this out and now has software to go looking for this. We appealed to the IRS for relief on the penalty, it has been under review for 8 months. You may want to check your 2019 and 2020 return for the same error.
