My husband makes more money than I do and we are filing married jointly. How do I go about filling out our W4's? Also we both started our jobs later this year not January
He started in March and makes a salary of 44k a year. I will start my job on November 1st and will be hourly at $15.50/hour. How do I go about filling out our W4's if we are filing "married jointly"? Also, by the end of the year, he will not have made 44k because he started in March of this year and I will only make about 5k by December 31st, totaling around 42k between both of us. Next year we will both start our jobs from January until December so we will make 73k jointly. For this tax season's W4's should we go based on the 40,000 - 49,999 bracket or should we go based on the 70,000 - 79,999, even though we will only make 42k jointly by the end of this year?
