Get your taxes done using TurboTax

We missed the October 15 deadline for our 2020 taxes (no problem, because we don't owe anything), and want to file electronically.
Unfortunately we need to clear everything and start over, because we didn't import our 2019 info first.
We're afraid if we start over we won't be able to file. This is only because we're not entirely clear on this statement at the top of our page:
"Returns filed after October 15 may be subject to late filing fees. However, if you've started your 2020 tax return, you have until October 29 at 9PM PST to electronically file your return online."
We "started" before October 15, but now we have to start all over again and don't want to ruin our chances of filing electronically.
The Oct 29 date is if you actually filed *on or before Oct 15* and it was rejected. Then you have the Oct 29 grace period to file the reject and re-efile. If you never filed at all in the first place then Oct 15 is the cut off date. You can only print and mail file.
