8962 prem tax credit - do you need 12 mths of coverage? https://www.irs.gov/affordable-care-act/individuals-and-families/premium-tax-credit-flow-chart-are-you-eligible

the above chart notes "were all premiums paid".  I have paid 8 months of coverage thus far but might not need it going forward.  if i just stop paying through year end, do i disqualify myself from credit eligibility?

At no time does it say you need insurance for all 12 months ...

Read the instructions for form 8962 ... page 2 :   https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8962.pdf

The flow chart in the initial link I provided very clearly states "were all premiums paid?" which implies that if I didn't pay say October through December, but also didn't contact the insurer to outright cancel, I might not be eligible.

Do you see the gray area I'm trying to confirm?

All premiums paid means you paid all you were required to pay ... it you didn't have insurance for 3 months then you had no obligation to pay a premium thus you had no premium billed to you so you had nothing to pay.   If you were required to pay 9 months of premium and you did not pay all the billed amounts then you would NOT have paid all premiums required.

You're not even reading what I'm writing at this point.

Not only that you have been abrasive and uncordial in every response.

Please drop the case or whatever so I can talk to some helpful

You are right ... I didn't read all of this new post ... I just skimmed it based off your other posts.  And I am sorry that my straight forward style doesn't suit you.  At no time was  I trying to be anything more than informative.

Now you were expected to pay for 12 months since you failed to stop the insurance properly and did not pay all the premiums as required then the answer is NO ... you did not pay all the premiums.
