Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I opened an IRS account and verified AGI from 2019 and it still rejected. I've never had this issue before this year and have used Turbo for over 12 years and religiously keep a pin.   Mailing the return in for a refund is not acceptable!  Why would I keep using a product that doesn't work?

Efile acceptance/rejection is an IRS function.   It's possible for the 2019 AGI shown in an IRS transcript not to work.   Because of IRS processing delays for a huge number of 2019 returns last year, many people are having to enter a 2019 AGI of 0 in order to efile their 2020 returns.    This is also true for folks who filed their 2019 returns after mid-November 2020.

If you haven't already tried using 2019 AGI of 0, then that may allow you to efile.    I always tell folks to try efiling with a 2019 AGI of 0 before giving up.  It can't hurt anything, and there's everything to gain.

If you do have the 5-digit Self-Select PIN from last year, you may be able to efile with it instead of the 2019 AGI.  But you must enter it in the PIN field and leave the AGI field blank.   But I'd try the AGI of 0 method first.
