I had to send in proof of payment as well. Did you ever hear back or receive any confirmation from the IRS?
They took $300 of my refund this year and put it towards my "balance." I'm still waiting on that (to hopefully come back to me) and my IRS transcript to reflect any receipt. I mailed everything 6/5/2021.
