I imputed the payments which matched what the irs had on their records. Today I received a notice from the IRS that I, well Turbo Tax, added up the payments incorrectly, simple math error. I went back to my return, filed electronically thru Turbo Tax and discovered that Turbo tax made a math error adding up my 4 estimated tax payments. Per the guarantee I would like to be reimbursed and also have my electronic filing fee refunded. I have been using TT for over 20 years. I have a LLM in tax and this floors me as to how you can get simple math wrong, now I am concerned about the complex calculations involving multiple forms?
