It can take the IRS 12 weeks or so to fully process and accept the amended return. You can keep checking the status here: https://www.irs.gov/filing/individuals/amended-returns-form-1040-x-/wheres-my-amended-return-1, but to be safe you should plan on printing and mailing in your return on or before 4/15.
