Where do I put my business expenses (books, supplies, etc.) from my private tutoring for which i received 1099-misc forms?

I put my two 1099-misc earnings from the two companies I tutor for as an independent contractor, but where do I put the expenses for my tutoring contract business (milage, books and supplies, printer supplies, etc.)?  I don't see any place to put them under any category.
