I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have always
understood how you arrived at the amount for the Form 1040-ES payment vouchers.
My refund was 30% greater than my total tax and I elected to apply that amount
to my 2019 estimated tax. The vouchers have 4 equal payments and if followed I
will again overpay by more than 30% because of the applied refund.
