I don't understand what you mean by "filed and accepted in April" and then you said you later discovered "return not filed." Those are contradictory terms. If an efile was indeed accepted, that means the IRS received the return and agreed to begin processing it, so it's not clear what made you think it was accepted initially and what leads you to think now it has not been filed. i.e., without more explanation we can't tell which one is correct. Are you using desktop Deluxe (CD/download) or Online TurboTax?
