Massachusetts is super picky when it comes to how you enter your W2 into the system. I would try both ways: enter first exactly as it appears on the W2, and see if the system accepts it. If you get a diagnostic or a reject, you may attempt to combine the Massachusetts numbers. If that rejects, then you'll have to mail it in. Like I mentioned earlier, the payroll company did you no favors, but at this point there's really no option to request a corrected copy.
