Multiple page W2 from same employer
I was a travel nurse in 2020 and received a w2 from the agency but it’s multiple pages. Boxes 1-11 are the same on all. Then for on the federal filing copy box 12a -D is entered and in section 15-20 all that’s filled in is TOTAL STATE under employee state ID No and box 17 state income tax. TurboTax does not allow me to enter that amount without an associated state.
Then I have TWO separate MA State Filing copies (again same employer). Here each have different state wages and state income tax. But both are for MA. I’m not sure why there are two but it might be because part my time with this employer in 2020 I lived in MA but worked in NH and the rest of the time with this employer in 2020 I lived in NH but worked in MA. Only reason I can see they’d give me two MA state filing copies with different numbers from box 12 on. Do I enter each separately under the state and local section of the W2 entering or do I just add them together? And do I ignore the federal one where it just say TOTAL STATE? Sorry this is complicated ha
