Bumping this. I have tried every single posted fix, including the crazy router hacking. No luck, just this increasingly infuriating message that I just need to "update" even though THERE IS NO UPDATE. Any new ideas? Anyone else in the same mess?
P.S. Apparently this bug has persisted for over 3 years, judging by the enormous literature that has accumulated on it throughout the internet. Absolutely outrageous.
