A State Voucher is needed when there is a balance due to the state.
TurboTax will give you an opportunity to print that out and give you the necessary details/options to submit the payment.
The voucher can also be printed by downloading a PDF of your return and navigating to the state return. Usually, the voucher form is on a page just before the state tax return.
To get your 2020 Form 1040 download, from the left menu, select Tax Home. Then, follow these steps:
- Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and Show.
- Navigate to the option to download the PDF of your return.
- The forms are named in the top left and lower right hand corners of each page.
