Get your taxes done using TurboTax

You do a very good job of hiding the IRS Free file that you committed to the IRS to provide to anyone meeting one of the requirements.

I did not find it until after I filed on what you said was your free site, paying because mine was not a "simple" return. When I questioned the charge, there was no mention of "Freedom Edition".

I asked for a return of my payment and was denied. Why am I not surprised that your Community doesn't have any discussion of your bait and switch which is obviously in violation of your contract with IRS. Also no discussion of the multiple class action lawsuits filed against you for this issue.

Can someone on the Community tell me how to get my money back. Or at least direct me to the most successful law firm with a class action suit so I can join it?

This is a user community forum, and comments are not normally read by folks in power at TurboTax, so they are not likely to see your comments above.  However, since it sounds like you already tried to resolve your issue through Customer Support, we can tell you how you can contact the Corporate office if you wish to file a complaint and make your comments known.

It sounds like you already talked to TurboTax Customer Support to tell them you qualified for the IRS Free File Program (if that's the case, i.e., that you met one of the 3 qualifications) but ended up in a paid product when you couldn't find it.  If that was unsuccessful, I presume they said something like continuing to file indicated acceptance of the terms, etc.

Or if you want to contact the Intuit Corporate office, you can go to the page below. Just below the page's large title, you'll see a screen-wide blue banner that prominently says:

"Do you have a question, concern, or feedback about an Intuit product or service?"

There is a "Send an email" link with an arrow.  It goes to a designated person in the office of the president of Intuit, and they supposedly will assign it to the right team for review.

NOTE:  Do NOT send any sensitive personal data since that is regular email--not secure email.
