Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Thank you. My concern is that even by disabling my firewall, Norton 360 and Malwarebytes protections with the agent, we still couldn't get it to load without using one of the new codes. I was able to open Turbo Tax today, even with all my protection still on without having to enter one of my new codes, but it's hit or miss.
Turbo Tax used to be so reliable.
In my 30+ years of using Turbo Tax, I never had this issue this bad. Last year, it happened once, (and just once) but I had enough codes left to use one, and didn't know then that I was using up one of my allowed codes. That was the only time I can remember having to enter the product code a 2nd time other than this year. If I had to enter a new code every time that window popped up this year, I would have used over 20 codes by now, instead I simply didn't use the program and saved all my updates to enter for when it did load correctly.
I can see that this is a pretty common problem for people. Turbo Tax should have a solution since we are entering the code on the very same computer(s). I don't see the solution in this day & age as leaving my computer vulnerable to attacks & viruses as a viable solution each time I want to use the program (and that didn't work before with the Agent anyhow). Besides, while I know how to disable my protections, my wife and kids who also use this product do not as they are not computer savvy. Like most people, they just want to click on the Turbo Tax icon and use the tax program.
But thank you for reading my issue and taking the time to reply.
