you don't need it. EINs for 1099-INT are not reported to the IRS. not sure why TurboTax ask s for irrelevant info. TurboTax should be asking if IRS provided EIN to which you can answer no. you can even answer no to this question when entering 1099-DIV, 1099-B. it is needed for certain other forms but for those TurboTax should not let you proceed without it or not giving you the option to answer mo.
