Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I received RSUs when my company was acquired by another. On 2/22, 14 shares vested. I elected for all shares to be sold and part of the proceeds be used to pay taxes (other options were "sell to cover" wherein only enough shares needed to pay taxes would have been sold OR to not sell any shares and I would send the brokerage money to cover the taxes). The brokerage charges $4.95 per transaction. It took 2 days for the brokerage to sell my shares. The 2 bolded numbers represent the value of these 14 shares on 2/22 (acquired) and 2/24 (sold).

My cost basis (including $4.95 transaction fee) was $189.85 per share ($2,657.90 was included with my salary on my W-2), but TurboTax's confirmation screen shows cost basis per share ($189.85) multiplied by number of shares sold (14)  = $2571.57.

I am confused on why TurboTax would think that $189.85 * 14 = $2571.57.

After straightening this sale out, I have enter the other times RSUs vested and were sold (same situation).
