Bad Math in RSU Calculation
I had 14 shares of an RSU vest in February 22. I elected to sell all shares and withhold appropriate taxes. All this is reflected on my W-2 (included in Line 1, but also line 14 as RS), but I need to enter my 1099-B as well.
Net sale price $2562.00 (in truth, my brokerage shows $2,561.58)
The basis per share shows $189.85
Number of shares sold X 14.00 = $2571.57
Short Term Loss: -$9.57
If I multiply 14.00 by $189.85, I end up with $2,657.90. This should show a Short Term loss of $95.90
