you'll have to pay what you owe. it would have been paid in any case. before filing a claim against TurboTax for penalties and interest, read the filing instructions for Illinois that were with the 18/19 returns. they might have indicated you need to send in payment or pay thru its website, not TurboTax. in such a case your claim would probably be denied.
