Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Unfortunately, we are not able to connect with you via a phone call, only through answering questions here.

The days rented and the question about whether or not you attempted to rent the property are found by first going to the Rental Info section and editing those details.  Then, look under Rental Type and Usage and edit the Days Used section.  One word of caution, if you check the box that you did not attempt to rent the property at all during 2020 and continue forward, then your property information will be deleted from your return.

I would suggest going through the Rental Type and Usage and Days Used sections a few times, changing your answers around until you see an entry that may indicate that the personal use days was inadvertently entered as 365.  Make sure no matter what combination of answers is used that the personal use number of days is always either blank or a zero.  Then, if you find an instance where the personal use number of days was entered as something other than zero or a blank and you make the correction, move forward through your return to 'save' that answer.  Then come back to the rental section and answer those questions one more time to be sure that everything for your particular situation is entered.

If this does not help, please share what type of property you have indicated that you are renting.  Is it a single family home, multi-family, vacation or short-term, etc.?

If you still cannot fix this by manipulating the entries, you have two last resorts.  One would be to delete the property and start again.  The second option would be to change from using the online version of the program to one of the CD/downloaded versions.  Your tax data file can be transferred and the erroneous data can be more easily changed in Forms Mode of the CD/downloaded version.
