Hi your instructions do not work: I am using a desktop version of Home and Business, went to the 1099G questions, but it states to answer NO if your 1099G is for unemployment, federal and state tax was withheld, it is April 12th, I have updated my program TWICE today and still there is no jump to, there is no way to enter the unemployment which is under the 10,200.00, but I need to claim the tax that was paid since the unemployment is tax-free.
This is beyond frustrating, I tried to call TT, that is a joke, I spoke to their "AI" which turned around and e-mailed me a link to these pages.
I actually dug deep and found with a LOT of clicking a way into the forms manually, did override entered the unemployment and the taxes paid in - only to get an error at the end saying there is a problem in overriding.
I just do not understand how my program is not getting this update - it tells me I am up to date.
