Get your taxes done using TurboTax

You may need to delete the state return and then re-add it to remove the error.  It sounds like whatever was prepopulated on the state input is still there and not clearing.

First, I recommend the following as it may rectify the issue.

If that does not clear the issue on your state return, do the following to repopulate the state return.

You can access your state income tax return by selecting State in the black panel on the left hand side of your screen when logged into TurboTax. 

1. This will take you to a screen titled Let's get your state taxes done right.  Click continue on this screen.
2. You will see the following screen titled Status of your state returns. 
3. You can either select Delete to the right of the return
4. You will then be able to select Add another State to create the state return again.  Be sure to go through all of the screens to ensure the return is populated correctly.
