TurboTax calculations have not been updated for Mississippi. If you haven’t filed your return, you can either:
- Wait for TurboTax to be updated along with your state, or
- File your return now and potentially amend later if they do not follow the federal guidelines.
How much was your AGI (line 11 of Form1040) and how much unemployment did you receive? You should wait to amend until further guidance is received from both the IRS and the state of Mississippi. When do you get the message you typed above? Is it when you start the amendment (are you sure the return has been accepted?) or were you able to start the amendment, add the unemployment and then get the message when you try to file the amendment?
