On another board, there were this post:
We had a 2020 baby whom we did not receive either of the 2020 stimulus payments for (we also didn't get the 3rd stimulus payment for this child). But, it seems they allowed this child to be counted for the child tax credit.
A second person replied:
This happened to us too and I had no luck today to fix it....agent told me we don't qualify because my child was born after the end of the tax closing date in 2020. I told her she was wrong and I asked to speak to a manager which she said I would get a call back.
