You add the PIN under the Federal Tax Tab/ Other Tax Situations. Please follow the instructions below.
To Add:
- Open your return.
- Select (click on) the “Federal Tax Tab.”
- Select (click on) “Other Tax Situations.”
- Scroll down until you see “Other Return Info.”
- Select Identity protection PIN by selecting (click on) “Start.”
- Select “Yes” and the individual names on your return will drop down.
- Then enter the IP PIN number that corresponds to the individual listed.
- Review the IP PIN again, if it’s correct, select (click on) continue.
- Select (click on) “Done with other,” you have now entered your IP PIN.
- Save your return.
