I am not the person who started this thread.
I have looked all over the community and cannot find how to ask a question. All I need to know is what to do when TurboTax asks for the format of the Payer's ID on a 1099-MISC and gives two selections - like a social security number (XXX-XX-XXXX) or like a tax id (XX-XXXXXXX). The 1099-MISC I got has one continuous 9-digit number XXXXXXXXX. So, neither selection is correct. I have searched for the last 30 minutes and cannot find anything.
