What do you mean as a "deduction?" Do you mean as a product charge? Are you paying fees out of your Federal refund?
More info is needed. Please answer all:
1) First of all, what product are you using?? Are you using desktop software (CD/download)?
2) Are you a California filer or in some other state?
3) If using desktop software, are you efiling a state return? If so, there is a 24.99 state efile fee (except no fee for New York state.) If you are efiling a state return, how did you choose to pay for the state efile fee--upfront by credit/debit card, or did you choose the option to pay the fee out of your Federal refund? (In California that "pay out of refund" option would require the addition of "Premium Services" at $45, which includes Audit Defense as part of the package. In other states the "pay out of refund" option has an extra service fee of $40, and does not include Audit Defense.
We can tell you more when you answer the above and clarify your situation.
