Why is my Mac suddenly unable to open tax files with my 2020 TT Premiere version? , it states "Please wait while we verify everything... ," and then shuts down.

My wife has no problem in accessing our tax files from a laptop with a Windows 10 platform.  My Mac is able to access xxxxxxxxx TT versions, but not 2019-2020.
