I have an update - and maybe some good news. I posted a while back that I efiled on 2/19 and ever since there is no record of my return, unless I enter 1 as the refund amount. Then it would find me with a zero refund due.
So I finally was able to call and get through to the IRS on Friday 3/26/21 - late in the day. When I spoke to the nice lady, she said my return was in "another department" and could take up to 10 weeks. She had no additional information.
But today, when I checked WMR, using 1 as my refund amount did not work! Now it works using my expected and filed refund amount. Could this be good news?? I hope so.
Recently, I did get corrected a large error with a 1099, and I asked the sender to re-file it. So that could have been my issue. And my return also has just about every other thing that could flag, child tax credit, look back, unemployment, claiming missed stimulus, advance Premium Tax Credit payback.
With the new stimulus law, I should get even more back with the unemployment and advance Premium Tax Credit tax changes. But the IRS says that is supposed to be automatic with no amended return required.
I'll post when I see the next update. Right now my WMR says "Return received" with 1 progress bar. It also says tax topic 152.
