Thank you, Ashley. I've already paid for both. My problem is that I never saw a screen that said, "Here are your filing options."
Under File, I've made it to Step 3 Get ready to save and file your returns. After that, I have the following screens:
- Let’s get ready to e-file
- Last year's tax info
- What type of state-issued ID does Jill have?
- OK, let's get some details about Jill's driver's license
- Consent to e-file your California return
- Let’s take one last look at the returns you’re e-filing
- It's time to sign and transmit your 2020 returns
The last one ends with a button that says, "Transmit my returns now" with a warning, "Important: Once you select Transmit my returns now, you can't cancel transmission. It's just like dropping your returns in the mailbox."
