Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Hi oldcabdriver5867,

First I am just a Turbo Tax user like you... I do not work for Turbo Tax and I would never tell you to  delete cookies, that is the standard BS from turbo tax when you call for help.  I even tried using the home desktop version of Turbo Tax, and it suffers the same problems with importing large 1099-B forms.  Not as bad as the online version, but it still stops working as well.  I want the online version because it archives my data year after year.

So the Solution is :

Go delete all those imported 1099-B(s), then do not do the import, simply enter all the 1099-B summary data into turbo tax rather than every single individual transaction which the turbo tax import does and shoots itself in foot.  All you need is the summaries.   then follow up by manually adding in your 1099-Int and 1099-Div from your 1099-B and your problems will go away.

Trust me I fought this for 3 years, spent 10 to 30 hours of my time on hold and with different turbo tax phone support each of those 3 years, never getting a solution.   So believe me I know what you are dealing with.

Do what I said and your issues will go away.   my Turbo Tax is running very fast now, I mean it could be faster, don't get me wrong, but it is not delaying 10 to 30 minutes, timing out, or sometimes even waiting hours for the page to show up just to get an notice that Turbo Tax discounted me while waiting for the page and having to start from scratch on the waiting game.

Good Luck, but yeh deleting cookies and that other crap just makes your life a mess if you accidently delete saved passwords and stuff.   That never helps, I did that it at least 100 times over those 3 years and it never solves anything.  I am a computer engineer, the problem is not your cookies.... but they never listened to me... LOL

Cheers
