Sadly what will happen due to unclear info from Turbotax. Many may take their business elsewhere. I read that turbotax is not even sure if the software will be updated by current tax deadline of may 17th 2021! That is completely unacceptable! I get that it is a complex situation but that is no excuse! Time is literally money in this situation. Do you really think people should patiently wait with gigantic tax bills from original returns filed prior to tax credit or even worse pay the estimated amount which we already know beyond any doubt is way more than actually due? How do you guys have the nerve to tell anyone to be patient? Have we not made turbotax rich over the years as it has expanded and grown and has provided thousands of jobs for individuals? But yet we are just supposed to patiently wait in the dark? I bet the consumers could find individual tax preparers who can do their taxes for them and include the tax credit instead of hopelessly waiting for software updates completely left in the dark!!! Anyways depending on the outcome of this situation may be the deciding factor on how and where I get taxes done for the rest of my life!
