Ok,
I need to stop here because I thought I could do my taxes myself. I cannot do my taxes without talking to someone directly to get the answers I need because one question answered leads to another question and it's just not worth the price I need to pay to get that accomplished here.
There is just too much room for error and this program is no where near where it should be for a simple layman like myself - in my opinion. It cannot handle a 1099-G directly through the basic steps at the beginning - someone needs to correct that or I missed something. And believe me, I gave this a chance but I do NOT want to make any mistakes. My time is more valuable to me to be spending here on this program that is not very intuitive or thorough.
Sorry but I am throwing in the towel and taking my taxes to a professional.
This is very, very frustrating.
