Look at the Filing Instructions that would have printed out with your return. The top paragraph will tell you how you wanted to pay the balance due.
You can also preview the instructions using these steps:
TurboTax Online
- In the black bar at the left side of your screen, click on TaxTools > Print Center
- On the TurboTax Print Center screen, click Print, save or preview this year's return.
- On the screen, TurboTax Print Center, select Just my tax returns.
- Click on the View or print forms box.
- When the print screen comes up the first page should be the filing instructions for your return.
TurboTax CD/Download (Desktop)
- Go back into your return.
- Click on File > Print
- When the Form Selection screen pops up, mark the button for the forms you wish to print.
- Click either of the blue boxes--Save as PDF or Preview Print Copy.
You can also view the filing instructions by going into Forms Mode.
- Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.
- In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst and the form will appear on the right.
- To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
