To create 1099-MISC forms in TurboTax Business, you'll need to go back to the initial opening
screen, which appears when you first launch the program.
- Open TurboTax Business. [Note: If you already have a tax
return open, choose New Tax Return from the
TurboTax File menu. Click Yes to save
the return you currently have open.]
- On the Work on a Tax
Return screen, click the blue Prepare W-2/1099 button

- On the next screen, Choose where to prepare your forms, click the Choose Desktop box.

If you prepared forms last year using TurboTax Business, you will see a screen, Let's Get a Jump-Start on Your 2018 Taxes. [Screenshot #2]
- You can select the desired return to transfer information for 2018 forms and then click Transfer Returns.
- If you don't want to transfer information from last year, click the box Continue without Transferring.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
