Get your taxes done using TurboTax

No. You will get a 1099 in 2021 which shows you receiving the income. You will report it then. You do not want to report it this year and again next year.

Generally, employers contribute to HSA and it is not included in the W2. That is one of the reasons employers like HSA, no taxes paid on the money. I don't feel you should be receiving a 1099 to pay taxes on the money since you never received it or the benefit. Maybe I am missing some information or misunderstood.
