A number of people over on the other thread about this, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/e-file-rejected-due-to-foreigntaxespaidoraccruedd..., are opting to use the non-simplified calculation for AMT, but I do not consider this a valid solution when I am told that I can't switch away from non-simplified without permission from the IRS. So, I am still waiting for TurboTax to actually properly fix things or else I will end up having to file by mail. I'd love to know if anyone is aware of an update from TurboTax about it...
