if I efile Federal early, like in March, but pay taxes by April 15, will IRS hold back processing or consider it not filed until I pay? when does IRS process my taxes - when I file or when I pay, as long as before deadline? Also, is there any penalty paying after you file, as long as it's before April 15? So, essentially, feds give grace period between filing and payment, as long as its before 4/15? trying to figure out when to pay. thanks.
