My dependent has w-2 @ 3200 self employment of 5900 -(with deductions 4600 )and unemployment of 17k with taxes taken out.
i was using turbo tax and everything was looking good he owed about 600.00 for fed & state and then got to the add the person claiming you and it wanted our taxable income I put 85k in and it shot my dependent owing almost 3200 for fed and it said the reason why was on the self employment
why would he owe more after i entered our taxable income ? This makes no sense at all.
