Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I assume you received a form 1099-B and are asking if you need to enter it as an employee stock purchase plan transaction. Since it appears that you have no gain to report, as the discount is reflected on your W-2 form in an amount equal to your gain on the transaction, you would not have to report it as an ESPP sale.

You do need to report the sale, but can do so as an ordinary stock or investment sale. You may need to correct the cost basis listed on the 1099-B form and you will see an option for that when you enter the sale in TurboTax.
