Thank you! I think you figured it out. My 1116 AMT form also does not have a country. This could mess up section II when it finds a date for no country. Unfortunately, TT will not allow me to change this. (it links back to the other 1116, but will not fill in the text).
I do know it is absolutely the 1116 AMT. I "accidently" made a typo re-filling out my return and dropped my salary below the AMT threshold. The refund number stayed the same (thanks to a child credit and nearly 50% foreign taxes), but no 1116 AMT. The return was accepted. ... of course, upon realizing the typo, I tried to submit an amendment to my return, but it got rejected. I'll have to wait until after the bug is fixed (or just mail it in, now that there is no rush). I should have tried that weeks ago.
