The state income tax withheld should be reported when you enter your W-2 on your federal return. Don't enter that amount anywhere else on the return.
TurboTax will carry over the information to your state return.
To check your entries:
- Login to your account.
- Select Federal from the left menu.
- Select Wages and Income then Income and Expenses.
- Select Edit next to Job(W-2)
- Select Edit next to the W-2 and check the entry in box 17.
