I have a computer repair business I work with. I asked about the security on Windows 7 and he indicated to me that it is just to scare you into buying Windows 10. I can say this, back a year or two ago when it was "free" to download 10, it ate my computer for lunch.
I had to take it and get it repaired. The only other times I have had repair on this Windows 7 computer was two times I allowed friends to use it & they clicked on things they should not have.
Otherwise, I have not had a problem with Windows 7 and I dread the fact to get a new computer with Windows 10. At the cost of Windows 10, it makes more sense to just get another computer.
I realize I must IF I need Windows 10 as my computer does't like it at all.
