For 2020 taxes (filed in 2021), Turbo Tax Online does not show you the total just before payment. It just says on previous screens that it will cost $XXX, but with no mention of sales tax. Then you enter your payment details and click on "Place My Order". There is no confirmation of what you will be paying on that screen.
On the screen AFTER the order is placed, it does show that no salex tax was charged. It would be nice to see that on the same screen as when you are clicking the final button BEFORE paying.
Also, there is no mention of whether sales tax is charged for this type of purchase. It may be in the full terms and conditions, but since this is a question that seems to be asked frequently, might be good to update in the interface.
